I asked F. Lebrun! What are the signature features of the racket that bears his name?

“I started playing table tennis at age three, and at four I switched to a penhold grip. There was a Chinese coach named Chen Jian on my local team in Montpellier, and I liked the way he played, so I started copying his racket as well.”
Speaking is Felix Lebrun of France, a rare penholder among European players, who is currently ranked No. 4 in the world (as of June 2026) and won two medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With his varied serves, excellent touch around the table, and two-handed driving that never seems to stop once it gets going, he is one of the medal contenders this summer in Paris.
