We asked F. Lebrun! What are the performance features he cares about in a racket that bears his own name?

“I started playing Tênis de mesa at age 3, and switched to the penhold style when I was 4. At my local team in Montpellier, there was a Chinese coach named Chen Jian, and I liked the way he played, so I started copying his racket, too.”
Says Felix Lebrun of France, a rare European penhold player who is currently world No. 4 (as of June 2026) and won two medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. With his versatile service, excellent touch play near the table, and both-wing topspins that never seem to stop once he starts swinging, he is one of the players expected to contend for medals at this summer’s Paris Olympics.
