An unpredictable forehand topspin that controls everything from “0” to “100”

If I’m asked, “What makes this player’s play amazing?”, I would point to Sun Yingsha’s forehand topspin. I’ve played her many times, but the feeling you get on court and the impression you get from TV or other video footage are quite different.

You can tell from the footage that it’s fast and powerful, but what really stands out when you actually play her is not just the sheer force. Sun Yingsha’s forehand topspin is incredibly delicate.
