〘Steadfast〙Carrying the honor of their country, they fight for the team. The enduring force of the traditional “big stage” of World Table Tennis
Though much changes in World Table Tennis, a stage with a 100-year tradition still has an unshakable value. On top of that, I once again feel it was right for this centenary event to be a Team Event. A Team Event, where players give everything purely for the honor of their country, is undeniably compelling.
“Compared with other players, the look in everyone’s eyes at World Table Tennis is different. I felt we were fighting on a big stage, and I could see that every team was trying to stay even more united and fight together.” That is how Honoka Hashimoto, making her debut in the World Table Tennis Team Event, described her impression of the London tournament.
